What Is Sharepoint Health Analyzer

Want to quickly find and fix potential problems across all of the servers in your farm? Then dont forget to take a look at SharePoint Health Analyzer. SharePoint Health Analyzer is a feature in SharePoint Server 2010 and SharePoint Foundation 2010 that allows administrators to schedule regular, automatic checks for potential configuration, performance, and usage problems in the server farm. Any errors that SharePoint Health Analyzer finds are identified in status reports that are made available to farm administrators in Central Administration. Status reports that are produced by SharePoint Health Analyzer explain each issue, list the servers where the problem exists, and outline the steps that an administrator can take to treat the problem. In some cases, errors are repaired automatically as soon as they are found, and farm administrators are informed of the repairs.

 The Health analyzer in SharePoint Server 2010 has a swath of rule definitions that it monitors. It raises a warning if a performance indicator exceeds the limits set by the rules.

 1. Title: It seems that Microsoft has provided useful and informative names for the default rules.
 2. Scope: This field has two options: All Servers and Any Server. This is useful in a farm environment. It allows you to choose if the rule needs to be run on every SharePoint server in a farm, or on just one server. Youll probably want to run computer-specific rules on all servers, but just run SharePoint-specific rules on any server (to reduce performance impact).
 3. Schedule: Each rule can be scheduled to execute hourly, daily, weekly, monthly or OnDemandOnly (manual).
 4. Enabled: This checkbox allows you to temporarily disable a rule without deleting its definition. I wouldnt delete any existing rules; just disable them instead.
 5. Repair Automatically: You can ask SharePoint to automatically try to repair an error.
 6. Version: It seems that you can version your rules. This field is a textbox in the Beta release.

 The SharePoint Central Administration home page alerts you when a rules been breached.

 When a health rule executes, SharePoint Health Analyzer creates a status report and adds it to the Health Analyzer Reports list in the Monitoring section of Central Administration. The default view of this list displays only items that have failed the most recent health check. You can review the archived reports by clicking Review problems and solutions under Health Analyzer in the Monitoring section of Central Administration.
 You can access the Health Reports list programmatically through the static Local property of the SPHealthReportsList class, a subclass of SPList. After you have an instance of the SPHealthReportsList class, you can query the list as you would any SPList object.

We live in an era where the most common thing that we do during th whole day is sitting and that too mostly in front of computers. The reason is simple that in this era of internet and electronic communication everything is happening in the monitor in front of us.

 We have actually lost touch with the outside world. Our world is the internet. This is very good because it is because of this that we have been progressing as a society but I can say that on other fronts especially the health we are actually going back a few steps.

 Just imagine your life without compuers. A computer means that you always will be having a sedentary lifestyle. Most of the jobs that we do have a sedentary way of working. If we want to play games then our best bet is not the outdoor basket ball court but now a giant monitor screen where we can play video games with players across several nations. This is all very great because of the achievements of computers and advancement of technology.

 It is the same technology that is playing havoc with our lives. The constant sitting has begun to harm our back and causes the strain to our eyes. We eat, we sit and we sleep and there is no time for games. This is causing obesity in then newer generations. They do not toil and never want to venture out to do some manual work. There is simply no exercise.

 This is just a very sad thing which is happening with our society. But do not panic there war ways to correct this and that way to take up a sport which is outdoors. Like skiing or trekking. You can take deer hunting or turkey hunting as that provides ample opportunities for you to enjoy the nature around you. Plus it will give you good amount of physical activity and will make sure that each and every muscle in your body is worked upon.

 There are a lot of folks who go to the gym regularly but the fact remains that it still an indoor activity and the main aim to enjoy the nature and get some breath of fresh air. This fresh air will rejuvenate your senses as well as help your mind and body relax. You set up a schedule and then stick to it whatever may be the work pressures if you want to enjoy the outdoors.

Health Is Your Greatest Asset

If you are like many people who take the entrepreneurial plunge, you do so most successfully when you are approaching or entering into middle age. Your middle-aged years are also ironically around the time many people start to suffer problems with eroding health and weight problems. You have to have self-assurance to risk business ventures. Usually people don't have this type of business confidence until after they have run other peoples businesses.

 Or at least they feel more confident once they have worked for other people.

 Andrew Morrison, the owner of Small Business Camp, once alluding to the book "Think and Grow Rich" said that many men become more successful in their middle years because they are less focused on sexual pursuits. I can relate to this because when I was in my twenties I would be too focused on dating, to have the focus to run a viable business.

 However, what would be the point of having a successful business if we don't have the health to enjoy it?

 Most people would agree business is a very competitive and challenging. It also stands to reason you should try to be at peak performance when undertaking a business venture. This is why you should seriously consider investing in your health to afford you the extra push -- to drive you to business success.
